Waffle house or Huddle house?

Is there really a true difference in the two breakfast diner restaurants Waffle House and Huddle House? Many people say they are basically the exact same restaurants, but others beg to differ. Stay tuned and find out many interesting facts between the two breakfast restaurants!

Let's first talk about the two restaurant's history. The first Waffle House opened in 1955 on Labor Day weekend in a small town in south Georgia. The headquarters are located in Norcross, GA, and operates more than 1,500 restaurants company and franchisee-owned.

Huddle House's background story is a little similar. The first chain opened in 1964 also in a small town in south Georgia. The chain only has 400 restaurants open or under development across 24 southeastern states.

Next, both restaurants have the same atmosphere. They are both breakfast diners where you seat yourself in booths and can see the cooks while they whip up your meal. The only big difference is the colors of each one. Huddle House's main color scheme is red, while Waffle House's is yellow.

Both restaurants are obviously based around the menu item we love-breakfast. But which one offers more on their menu? Huddle House menu doubles in items compared to Waffle House. They offer appetizers and many desserts that Waffle House is currently slacking on!

The most common breakfast item on the two restaurants menu is, of course, the waffle. Pictured above is a waffle from Waffle House. The two waffles are very similar in taste but one main difference is the appearance. Huddle House has a neat way of branding their waffles with the logo "HH" in the middle of them.

Both of these restaurants are equally great if you are craving breakfast from a homestyle type diner. I encourage you to try both, or if you already have and prefer one over the other drop your decision in the comments below!
