Goldfingers vs. Zaxbys

On today's blog post I will be comparing two very similar fast food restaurants. Zaxby's very popular menu item known as the Big Zax Snak meal and Goldfingers 3 Tender Meal. Continue reading to find out how these two menu items have the same look, but many differences.

Mackenzie Johnson and Bailley McFay, both Troy University students, participated in my study for this blog post. Mackenzie purchased the Goldfingers 3 tender meal, while Bailley purchased the Big Zax Snak Meal. They both gathered at Bailley's house to eat and discuss the menu item differences with me.

First, I will discuss the price differences between the two restaurants. Both meals contained the same exact food items with one sauce and also came with a drink. Goldfinger's 3 tender meal was $8.38 including tax, which was a little more than the $6.89 Big Zax Snak meal.

Next, the overall to-go boxes both restaurants use are very similar. They are both black styrofoam boxes with the restaurant's logo imprinted on the top.

However; the Zaxby's bags are paper instead of plastic in which Goldfinger's uses. This is a great way to reduce plastic waste in the environment! Great job Zaxby's!

Wow! When you first open the boxes both menu items look so similar! Can you even guess which picture is for each restaurant? Well, the only reason you probably could is that Zaxby's sauce has its logo on it, while Goldfinger's is just in a plastic container.

Overall, both Mackenzie and Bailley agreed that Zax sauce tastes better than Goldfinger's special sauce. The bummer is that at both places you, unfortunately, have to pay extra for any additional sauces.

Unlike Zaxby's, Goldfingers is closed on Sunday which might be an inconvenience to people who prefer their chicken over Zaxby's. Mackenzie Johnson, pictured above, exclaimed "Goldfingers is my absolute favorite! It hits the spot!"

Que the drums!!!!!!! Both Mackenzie and Bailley tried each other's meals and have come to a conclusion of the best between the two restaurants. They both agreed that Goldfingers chicken tender meal has a higher taste quality, but Zaxby's is still a better price for the meal.
