Waffle House- V-day Edition

Are you looking for a last minute place to take your special Valentine? Well, Waffle House has you covered! This February 14^th, Troy, Alabama’s Waffle House is one of the 200 restaurants across 21 states that are participating in this romantic dinner getaway!

This is not the first time Waffle House has done something special for Valentine’s Day. They have been taking reservations on this night of the year since 2008. This reportedly began at a location in John’s Creek, Georgia, after the manager noticed a lot of customers every Valentine’s Day. He then decided to make it a special experience for all customers on Valentine’s Day.

Waffle House’s mission statement exclaims exactly what this special night consists of- a unique experience with excellent food, friendly service, and a great price.

Waffle House knows that setting the right atmosphere is crucial for Valentine’s Day dinner. They turn this traditional diner into a romantic date spot! It will include a candlelit dinner with white tablecloths, champagne, real napkins, rose petals across the table, and dimmed lighting.

Along with their traditional menu, there will also be a special menu for Valentine’s Day. This will range from “Rib-eye and eggs” to a “Pork-chop dinner.” What I think is very cute and romantic is the traditional waffle’s chocolate chip toppings will be placed in a heart shape!

Cole Godfrey, a junior at Troy University, gave me his opinions on Waffle House’s Valentine’s Day dinner. He exclaimed, “I love Waffle House and it makes me happy to see they are representing Valentine’s Day. It is great to spend time with someone you love, especially when you can do it without spending a lot of money.”

Unfortunately, reservations are going fast this Valentine’s Day and customers have booked them months in advance. On the sunny side up, Troy has two Waffle House restaurants so you may be in luck if you call ASAP!
